Michigan Physician Assistant Foundation Scholarship Program

    The Michigan Physician Assistant Foundation will be awarding five $1000 scholarships in 2007 at the annual Michigan Academy of Physician Assistant’s conference in Traverse City, MI.

     We plan to award one scholarship to a student in each of the five PA programs in Michigan. The deadline for application is July 1, 2007. The applications will be available at the schools and on line.

    The PA Foundation web site is in development and will be ready early in 2007. That web site is www.mipaf.org. There is another web site that is on line named the PA Page and the web address is www.thepapage.com. The application is available there by going to the home page and on the left side listing is PA Foundations. Click on that and a page will come up that has Michigan PA Foundation Scholarship Application on it. Click on that and you can download and print the form.

     The applicant needs to complete the first part of the form and then there is a section for the Program Director to complete. When the form is done, mail it to David Martin, who is the chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee for the PA Foundation. His address is 1349 Avondale, Sylvan Lake, MI 48320.     A selection committee will rate the applicants and one from each school will be selected. If there is no applicant from a school, a second applicant will be selected from the other schools.
